DENVER, CO (November 19, 2024) – Pax8, the leading cloud commerce marketplace, is proud to announce its distinct commitment to cybersecurity by signing the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency’s (CISA) Secure by Design pledge. The company has prioritized safety and security as a key business pillar throughout its 12-year history and now formalizes that focus with this pledge. As a pledger, the company joins other industry leaders who are also dedicated to cybersecurity and safeguarding user data through proactive design and engineering practices.
Aimed at embedding robust security measures in all stages of product development, the Secure by Design initiative represents a commitment to integrating security as a foundational component of product development, rather than a feature of it. In committing to this approach, Pax8 pledges to implement comprehensive risk assessments, prioritize secure coding practices, and foster a culture of accountability and transparency around cybersecurity.

Throughout its years of service to managed service providers (MSPs), Pax8 has been committed not only to adopting, practicing, and continually updating its own safety protocols but also to encouraging similar adoption among partners, peers, vendors, and others within the industry.
- Pax8 launched its official security program in June 2024 to help partners improve or establish their security practices and protocols. Within a few months, the program was named “SMB CyberSecurity Solution of the Year” by the CyberSecurity Breakthrough Awards.
- In 2024, Pax8 partnered with the Center for Internet Security (CIS) to create its CIS Controls Handbook: A Visual Guide to Evaluating Cybersecurity which is available to all. The handbook is designed to offer a proven method for evaluating and strengthening security measures.
- Partners of Pax8 were introduced to Pax8 Opportunity Explorer in June of 2024. It draws from CIS controls to identify gaps in their partners’ cybersecurity for safety and business success.
- Pax8 routinely hosts cybersecurity events such as security bootcamps and mission briefings, in addition to offering tailored CIS consultations.
